Connections to patient portals use secure, encrypted channels. Your records are protected in transit and at rest, to the same standard you'd expect from a financial institution.

Never used to train AI

Your health data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, whether it's run by us or by the AI providers we work with.

Security first

Health records are securely stored on your own device. To generate AI summaries, they are transmitted securely to our AI summarization system. Temporary copies are deleted shortly after processing.

Never sold or used for ads

We never sell your health data, and we never share it for advertising or marketing. You can disconnect a health system or delete all your data at any time.

Veritell was created by Will Friedman, a healthcare technology veteran who has spent his career at the intersection of clinical systems and patient experience. He knows from the inside how fragmented health records can be — and from personal experience what it costs caregivers when the tools don't work.

Veritell is a health records companion for family caregivers. It connects to your loved one's patient portals, such as MyChart, Oracle Health, and athenahealth, pulls in their labs, notes, appointments, and medications, and translates everything into plain language. Think of it as a personal health interpreter — always on, always private.
Veritell works with more than 19,000 hospitals, health systems, and clinics across the US that use Epic MyChart, Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), or athenahealth patient portals. That includes most major hospital networks and academic medical centers. During setup, you can search by hospital, health system, or practice name. A few organizations limit outside apps, so if yours doesn't connect, email us.
Yes. Veritell is built for caregivers, but you can add yourself as a profile and get the same summaries, alerts, and to-dos for your own records.
Your health data stays on your device by default. When Veritell creates an AI summary, only the information needed to create that summary is securely processed by Veritell. Temporary copies are deleted shortly after processing. We do not use your health data for advertising or AI training.
No. Veritell helps you understand and organize health information, but it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. AI can make mistakes, so check summaries against the original records, which Veritell keeps alongside them. It's a tool to help you ask better questions and advocate more effectively alongside the medical team. Always consult your provider before making medical decisions.
